Grant Thornton – GT were delivering the multi-million-pound Government funded Business Growth Service across England and needed help to adapt their offer to include additional European funded support without compromising the integrity of the core offer.
Department for International Trade – help to design projects for the Northern Powerhouse, Midlands Engine and the South projects with a total value of £53m, securing £28.2m of European Regional Development Funding, assisting them with the design, technical compliance, deliverability, future proofing, clarifying thinking and seeking to address the needs of 28 Local Enterprise Partnerships.
New Anglia LEP – An study and evaluation of the £12m Business Growth Programme - including a review of the impact of the Growth Hub and local Start Up programmes. We helped the team re-design their micro-grants scheme and thereby helped underpin the financing of the Growth Hub. Our work led to an immediate impact - quadrupling the number of grant applications they received and raising the associated private sector investment from £380k to £2m.
Hallmark Meat Hygiene Ltd – We helped the teams in England and Scotland to increase their success in winning public contracts, supporting 9 individual tender processes and securing new work with local, central government and executive agencies and achieving inclusion in a number of procurement Frameworks.
Business West - We have been working with Business West since 2007 supporting over £20m of projects – one process improvement project helped them raise customer satisfaction scores in order to achieve a £300k contract performance bonus.
The Winery at Trentham Gardens – We helped the team to prepare an application for a £200k EAFRD grant from the Rural Payment Agency to trigger a novel £2.5m tourism facility in Staffordshire.
North East Chamber of Commerce – We prepared the Outline and Full Applications to the Department for Housing Communities and Local Government to fund a £7.2m international trade promotion project for the North East of England.
London & Partners – help with technical support for the London Growth Network and the Mayor’s International Business Programme.
University of Wolverhampton – The team needed to increase 3rdstream external income and help academic staff to improve their commercial performance. Working within some major constraints we re-deigned their support process to significantly increase its efficiency, produced guidance for staff and providing bespoke internal roadshows and workshops all aimed to address the patchy quality of proposals and bids.
